Jack Kerry, L3 Games Development, CAD/Simulation Technician
I made my transition from 3ds Max to Blender when I left college and start my current job. All my knowledge within the program is self taught and with the help of Youtube I was able to learn an incredible amount without the help of any online courses, although knowing the basics from studying Games Development in college did help. Blender is a seriously powerful 3D modelling program which is free under any circumstances which is a great help for people building there portfolios and not having to deal with 3ds Max premiums when it comes to licensing. I chose Blender because it's easy to use but it has a different approach to user interface and prominently uses shortcut keys to perform certain tasks.
